The first time I used a Holga was for a class assignment. The camera shoots medium-format film, the negatives are square, and there are only 12 frames per roll. The camera has a plastic body and lens. Images are a little soft (which is photo-speak for blurry), and often display vignetting. The controls are minimal (and don't really work), and shooting a successful photo requires a lot of trial and error and a little bit of luck. Naturally I fell in love. I played with capturing motion and used double exposures to enhance the blurriness. Most of my negatives were unusable, but some captured a moment nearly impossible to create with a digital lens. These are a few of my favorites.
